In his Discourse Concerning the Machine, Blaise Pascal asks us to analyze humankind’s position, “where our actions can be enormously consequential, but our understanding of those consequences is flawed.” He then puts forth a pivotal question: “Is there no substantial truth, seeing that there are so many true things which are not truth itself?” (Excerpt- Profitable Intelligence)
